Black Ops

By KingBee
Another view of the Nungate Bridge in Haddington, this from the banks of the River Tyne. Shot at the weekend when the weather locally was decidedly bipolar - bright and sunny one minute, dark and miserable the next - the image was taken during a brief transition between the two states, with the descending gloom telling me that I'd better get the shot quickly or get soaked (hence the title). The sky has been darkened slightly in post in order to present a more pronounced contrast with the light falling on the bridge and the immediate foreground.

Grateful thanks to Andy for his kind UA for yesterday's upload, and my appreciation also to everyone else who visited, voted and comment, or just looked.

Superb composition, Bob, a fine study of threatening weather. The wide angle works wonders with the cloud shapes and your processing brings out the detail. Love it.

An excellent b&w Fujigraph, making very good use of the possibilities that wide lens provides.
Excellent tonal range, and dramatic light and shadows.

As above, love that contrast and use of light, Bob. A very powerful sky - shoot and run.

I must bring out my old Canon that has the 10-20 lens. I do love the very wide angle images. A beautiful scene and super conversion.
Fantastic atmosphere captured, excellent mono.
