Breakfast

Finally got round to looking at my pictures from the Epping forest meet.

Close up taken just as the sun was rising. This slug was tucking in and had made quite a dent by the time I had the shot composed. They move a surprising amount and I had to go high ISO and narrow dof to freeze the action!

f7.1, 1/4s ISO 400

he he!
So THAT's why there weren't any left!

I really like it - it has a good deal of humour and it's an unusual composition.

Yes they do move quite quickly when you are shooting Macro. I remember years ago trying to capture one with some close up filters. Ended up throwing the snail across the garden in a strop. My mum nearly called the RSPCA out.

was about to say what the heck is this....and then I spotted the slug. A Kit Monster Production for sure.

Great shot of the slug having an appetizing breakfast. Like the view of the other fungi on the background.

Nice to see a mushroom shot which hasn't been chosen for its' prettiness. :0)

Good use of dof.

Nice shot, wish I had got to these before the slugs!

Refreshingly different, and technically well done to capture that fast-munching slug!

It doesn't take them long to demolish a cap. Very nice capture & pleasing to look at with the OOF body in the BG.
