new beginnings

By kit-monster
My first upload for a very long time - took me ages to figure out where the gallery upload button had gone! Finally got some time to take pictures and upload. This is of my latest offspring - already deeply suspicious when ever he spots a lens thrust in his direction. My PS skills are very rusty when it comes to this sort of thing . . .

Look at those eyes! Beautiful baby and portrait, love the little bubble on his lips.

Superb crop and clarity. Would be even better with a little more contrast added in curves, and a little dodging and burning around those wonderful eyes.

Cheers! Martin - thanks for the feedback - it's been a while since I used ps for this kind of work, so comment greatly appreciated.

And thanks Matt and Dave - back for good I hope.

Hi Ed,

Love this shot! This would be your second child or is it an old photo? I seem to remember you had a child the same time as me, my daughter is now 3 years old.

The expression here is really great.

ok, kill me. Have you looked at the detail in the reflection in the eyes?

Otherwise a handsome chap and a proud daddy.

..and that lens gives superb clarity.

I'd like to say he had his father's eyes......

.....but he doesn't.
