The green works well especially against the red of the apple but having had a look at the mod with the black b/g I think I prefer that one Smile
Either way, the composition / crop are great.

i really like this - agree tho black just gets the nod

ignore Nic... go green !
;o)

Edit : black looks nice, but it also looks a bit as if the background still has to be filled in, whereas green looks like it already has its background. It looks finished, and with the different shades, it also looks more subtle

Gotta agree with Koen (I do now and then) that the green background is better. To me the whole image looks more subtle on green and a bit stark on black.

That's Green 2: Black 2 by my reckoning.

I am with Nic and Pete. I like both, but the black edges it for me.

Really like the composition here, was drawn by the green in the thumbnail and think I prefer green, too. Great shot!

Looks very good, It would possibly stand out more on black background but this is still very stunning and eye catching shot.

This is a great photograph (I wish it were mine.

However, I can't help but think that your model is looking and thinking about something else which is not particularly desireable!

Both backgrounds work very well for me. The shot itself is great.

I will sit on the fence & say both. As I think the thought & meaning of the image are the important thing...

Smile and I side with Koen, stick with the green.

Yes green is good - although the black background in the mod works well, it was not what was intended, and personally I think the green works better, in that it adds colour to the overall image, and doesn't make it look like a void that's missing something, which is what black does.
Wonderful shot

The green is the Eden touch that really makes this work for me. The fingers are beautifully positioned around the fruit. Lovely.

Oh my good God...the crop, the colour, the light and shadow...as sinfully delicious as the apple. I would have been VERY surprised if this didn't get an HC!! Congrats, Jo Smile

Congrats on the HC Jo.
I find the black a bit too stark, but the green's not perhaps the right colour either, although the shading helps the shot. So maybe try a different colour, but keep the shading.
