ok am back down to earth after yesterdays upload lol

this is not the version i was going to put up next, instead, after POOCH and Keiths' comments, i decided to go back to my original train of thought and pigeon-hole myself into one box.
seem to have sacrificed clarity for contrast and a darker atmosphere but this was really the intended image so....

(Dianne asked if the objects are representative of anything and the answer is no, not individually, rather wholly, as an expression of a feeling)

thanks for looking
jo

I like this one a little better than yesterday's shot. Very well manipulated once again, and very powerful.

Jo, I love this. VERY creative and very well done. It reminds me of the art of Joseph Cornell. -=Walter

Like it a lot... very conceptual and allows the viewer time to think. Keep it up.

Another great image in the series, as you say it's not as delicate as the previous but a lot more darker and more grainy.
Still works in it's own right though.

I like the wholeness of this, but the tone of the previous one.

This looks older in style like its 1930's-40's or some sort of directors cut outake in a film of the time banned for its nudity content? thats what it does for me anyhow and I really like it and I'm glad you did both versions.

Pooch.

My vote has to go to yesterdays. By comparison this feels claustrophobic and uncomfortable, whereas yesterdays felt peaceful and relaxed with a light surreal touch, despite your being sectioned.
Having said all that, if this was the first one I'd seen I wouldnt be being half so picky.
Great to see you with another HC, though I think yesterdays should have been an EC.

Another beaut. I do love the tone from yesterday's, but this one seems to make more geometric sense (is that a sense?).

Doug

PS: Congrat's on another HC. So yesterday's tone with today's image = EC?

I'm playing safe. I like them both. each has a emotional feel one with a warmth and the other with the restrictions of life. Both different in but both amazing shot. Jo, Thanks for answering my question.
looking forward to the next ?

Congrats jo...both are totally worth it, and i agree with eric about yesterdays deserving an EC...but this is an excellent version also

i love the darker feel, and the fact that we can see your face makes you appear more vunerable somehow..

Lots of congrats for two HCs in a row. Two quite different similar images (eh?!). I like 'em both for their respective qualities.
Only picky criticism on this one is that the smooth border could maybe do with some noise in it; it jars a bit with the texture of the horizontal and vertical dividers in the case. (A bit of a nerve from someone with barely an RC to his name.)
Chris
1 Aug 2006 7:54PM
well, they are both very strong. variations on the same theme but yet distinctively different. Congrats on the 2 HC's. I do believe they are well deserved. A bit distressing, yet very tender and feminine work
