well i did it for fun, seemed like a good idea at the time, but it took me a couple of hours to do a make-shift costume & then set up etc lol not to mention the BG layers afterwards! moan moan moan
anyway, not 100% happy with the result but fed up messing about with it Smile

looks better large... if you dare lol
thanks for looking
Jo

Jo, this is fantastic. The manipulation is obviously excellent, but the real strenth of this is the portrait itself: I love the gentleness of expression, and the warmth of the tones really complement it. Lovely work.

Bloody brilliant Jo lol I think if you used this technique for more work in an oil painting style it would work a treat as the light costume and colours balance are perfect

Love this Jo ! Very beautiful execution. Love that tranquil pose, and even the smile has that same strange effect on me. The ipod is a great touch.
You should do a series like this, using different works of art as a starting point, always including something contemporary. Not as a gimmick, but as a leitmotiv, a comment on society, human behaviour, evolution. you have the technical ability to pull it off, and the imagination. go on girl ! Go for it !
