I especially like your grungy distressed treatment on this one Jo. Just thinking that a really heavy vignette may suit .... forcing attention down on yourself like you're trapped in the image surrounded by doom and gloom.

Not sure whether I've gone too dark or light on my mod as I'm doing this on my laptop in a brightly lit dining room over a bowl of pasta and a mug of tea. Yummy Wink

Edit: Bummer. just noticed you've not got mods switched on. Believe me though a heavy vignette looks good.

A tremendously powerful image. It's like one of the extra characters from a huge 'Old Master' has escaped into the real world bringing all the biblical drama with her.
Superb.

Very hard hitting. Don't want to use words like wonderful and beautiful, as the theme is ever so real and depressing. However, this is one fantastic pieace of work you've done here. Well done.

A very well constructed image and a great angle on the figure. This has qualities of an Andrew Wyeth drawing. The stark realism of the figure and the spattering are comparative IMO. Excellent work.

submit this to a 'Goya today' project. It reminds me of his famous Colossus, which latest findings say isn't his but is still a splendid painting.
