Have you nailed the exposure on the head as well, it would be so much better. But it is still an excellent shot as it is.

* I have never seen a white GSD

* I think I might re-consider your invitation...lol

* I might have to stop my running series until I get as good as you...Sad

Thanks for the comment much appreciated, I thought it was a bit hot on the head so that confirmed it for me Wink

Cracking capture! Wonderful timing.
Strange that you should choose a dog based on what would look good in a photograph! Smile Smile

You are very good at capturing these action shots of dogs running - I'm quite amazed at it. I agree the exposure on the right side of the head is still not perfect, but you've almost got it nailed.
Other than that little niggle - super image.

Another cracking action shot. Agree with the above comments about the hot spot but this is still superbly timed and you caught the moment perfectly.

another good shot,i think the hot spot works because it highlights his face better,my only gripe about the dog is cleaning him after,black hides the muck better.

Excellent action shot and a wonderful animated pose; love the eye contact and intrigued to know how you prompted this headon charge?
Being critical, I agree that the highlights are just a touch blown and to me the focus looks a fraction too far back as the nose and eyes lack the amazing detail shown in the water, but still an image I would be proud to be able to achieve.

Thanks Aidan, Mia & Tim.

Thanks for the crit Tim, always good to get feedback. Yes no doubt blown the highlights, thats something I do struggle with but working on it. To the left out of the shot my friend threw a ball in the direction that I direct her, all I do is track the dog and press the shutter judging as best I can for the best pose I can. Doesnt always work!

Think these head-on action shots are the hardest for the camera to maintain focus Karen - my recent shots of an owl mostly involved the tail feathers being in focus, so this is pretty great in my opinion Smile

Agree with above comments, a white dog photographed in sunlight is a nightmare to expose, the action is spot on. Excellent shot under the circumstances.
