Just great. I can't really see anything to criticise - its a bit of a shame that the brown background is against his head - you could tweek the saturation maybe a bit so his face stands out more... but that is a niggly point and as it stands doesn't detract from an exceelent shot. I'm glad I'm not the only one who comes back with one that I'm pleased with and many duds!

Just been looking trhough your dog action shots - great stuff! I have read Nick Ridleys book and was flicking through it today to remind me. I am going to keep an eye on your pf but it would be great if you could post your camera settings with shots like this - I really struggle with getting it all sharp, so I want to know what settings you're using! (from what Ridley was suggesting, I think I'm using too low a shutter speed - generally I go for 1/350, but then I think my aperture's too large as well...(ususally around 5.6 but often has to be smaller)

Hi Kate,,someone mentioned mad eyes,my 10 year old Lab has this look ten times worse when he is running,,
Point is if you got him head on he is actually looking where he is going,,and both eyes would keep it in balance,,if you know what I mean.
Its a great shot and a hard one to get the detail you have captured.
One of mine for tomorrow is of Lea's sister (Irish Wolfhound) Abbey, she too is on the move.
Nice action shot.

What a super stop action shot - he's really on the move. The diagonal of his body works a treat in the comp - I know it's how you caught him, but it's great.
I think his head stands out well enough against the background. I have no difficulty seeing what's dog and what's background.
