Chesterton Windmill

By KKmoments
Another 'up and down' Sunday with the weather which saw us searching 'the net' for somewhere 'local and different'... so we arrived at Chesterton Windmill, Warwickshire. A beautiful working windmill thats open to the public during one w/end in September but what we hadn't realised before you can actually walk and view the outside..... It was very windy, intermittent rain prevented play at times but it was fun, something different and a piece of our heritage Smile

I decided being as the clouds were playing that i'd try for a more dramatic look and convert this to mono..... any C&C welcomed.

Hope you all had a good w/end and made the most of the sunny spells Smile

Karen

I think this is very good Karen, well composed, with a great conversion to mono bringing out lots of tones and dramatic sky.
But i would like to see this on a plain black B/G and no text on it as i do feel it draws the eye away from such a pleasing image IMHO.

A fantastic mono image Karen, love the windmill and i've just been in the colour one after having a quick look in here first but the colour one has the edge for me,it's the sky in colour and the colour seems to change the perspective although that seems daft, must be my eyes. This is a top b/w shot.take care,AnnSmile
