Kingfishers are so prolific up there at this time of year and Steve I used a Zoom Nikor 70 -300 lens first time using this camera and lens so feel quite good at getting such a good a shot

Nicely caught and composed. Feel very jealous of your opportunities on the Chobe :^) . Small nit, and could be just me, but the picture feels as thought it's leaning significantly towards the left based on the pattern of the shades of blue in the water.

Fabulous shot, with great detail. These Nikon digital cameras are excellent, but they still need a true photographer to press the button. Well done.

The Pied kingfisher, I remember them well. Any stretch of water they will be seen. Botswana is heaven and this shot is stunning. I never managed one so close, superb image and bird. Ron.
