Irish Landscape

By Kot
That's the view from the path leading up to Glennagalliagh Mountain (Ireland, Co. Clare). Part of Lough Derg visible, mountains of Tipperary in background. Lovely village of Killaloe further to the right but hidden behind hill slope.
Definitely this area is worth visiting.

I Like the sky very dramatic, the dapled light on the fields looks good. It cannot be but the river looks bowed, but does not look odd.
super photo to me

I must confess it's highly manipulated - especially perspective. Original image was panorama around 150 degrees wide (composed of 7 or 8 shots). I squeezed it into square format without constraining proportions. The result was pretty odd but interesting and worth of further attention. So I stretched out topmost part of the picture next using Upper Shell Warp in PS. That's the reason why Mike noticed the river looks bowed - it is bowed due to messed perspective. And that's the reason why foreground looks a bit like tabletop decoration with props.
I achieved more dramatic foreground with steeper hill slopes and deeper valley. You can say it's not fair. However when I look at original panoramic version it seems to me far too flat compared to impression I had while taking the photos. I believe this manipulated image is much closer to my first impression up there.

Whatever the pushing, pulling and tweaking - the image is a fine representation of the soft rolling Irish country. Well presented.
