Emergence by Kruger01

Thanks for all the kind comments, Stevetheroofer, the set up was as below.

The kingfisher was about 5-6 mts from the hide diving into a largish fish tank, I have removed the edge of the glass to the rear and left, in 3 days I took about 2000 pics but from the 2nd day I tried to concentrate on flight and capture shots but without a great deal of success as my D800 only manages 4-5 fps. I got some great 1/2 shots but did get better as timing improved. I went to Scottish Photography hides nr. Kirkcudbright and it was well worth it.

A Family Portrait

Coen - What I like is what we see is what you saw , no photoshop I presume ?

A little contrast and sharpening but definately no cutting , pasting or dig. manipulation

In 2 sightings, this one late evening and again the next morning I have over 1200 images of the cubs and their mothers.

Salthome fox

Thanks for all the comments, he kept looking at me but was not too bothered, trying out the new Tamron which seems fine so far. It actually came too close for the lens at one time.

Nyala Buck by RobertTurley

Nyala Buck

Nice study but for info, it's a Nyala buck, not a bushbuck. It's one of the nicest antelopes in Africa and there not too many around.

Beautiful quality and atmosphere

Perfection on a stick. by AlanWillis

Perfection on a stick.

What do judges know, they either like wildlife of don't, this is an excellent capture full of detail and vibrant, the only complaint is I did.nt take it.

Red Billed Hornbill

Thanks Colleen, I fell in love with South Africa on my first visit, just wished I'd gone many years earlier as I could live in Mpumulanga and the Kruger would be my back garden.

Inverary, Loch Fyne by Kruger01

Inverary, Loch Fyne

Thanks boov, derrymaine and michaelo. Although it looks like HDR, it was processed using Nik filters Viveza and Colour efex pro.

I don't normally do landscapes so I recently bought a w/a lens for a trip to Scotland where this was taken.

By the way, Nik filters are being sold by google for about 83 if you use one of the 15% discount codes
