Did you know?...The gannet's supposed capacity for eating large quantities of fish, has led to "gannet" becoming a description of somebody with a voracious appetite.

Yes Pam. In my world it was always known.
Never saw it so well illustrated though.!!!!

'tis rumoured Pam that Vikings would tie fish to the heads of those that displeased them, throw them overboard and let the gannets do what gannets do.
It wasn't only axes that were responsible for the splitting headaches.
