Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis).
Under Schedule 9 of the WCA, it is illegal to release a grey squirrel into the wild, or allow one to escape. This means if you trap one, you are obliged to humanely dispatch it. You must not let it go, as this act would be illegal. I hope my squirrel didn't hear that!
Love them or hate them, they are entertaining, we get as many as 5 in the garden at any one time.

So pleased to receive V's & C's on yesterday's 'come in out of the rain' and honoured to receive UA's from Bill (Billrookery) & Sue (Sue118). pm's sent. Pam

what a cutie, it is always sad when you here things like culling but these guys do take over. The trick is to live harmoniously with them and not set the traps yourself

A lovely capture of him Pam. Too bad about his little toe, but love it anyway. He looks to be talking to you.

They are very cute....and pests. I think of them as tree rats.

A shame they are regarded as a pest, but think they make great subjects, and quite co-operative too Smile A super detailed capture here, Pam, and like how you've caught him with his mouth open, it's as if he's talking to you! Grin
