ooh I know that spot. Great capture.
One of my fav places on the rock that is Guernsey.
I was unlucky with the tides during my stay, high tides were late at night and early afternoon...
    but I did try...

    Ditto...!!

I go there with Dave and shoot the location alot.
As you say its one worth revisiting until you get the best from it.
I think getting cut off by the tide to get the "dinosaur bones" in the water effect.
I do like your moonscape approach and the lack of water makes the feel more raw and desloate.

Its a real laugh to try this kind of work.
Me and mate have a scream in the winter and experiment with all sorts of torches and glow stix..
Heres a link to some of it on deviantart.

Nice comp and I know exactly where that boat is...lol
Was it 1 exposure or a blend?
If it was 1 it might be an idea to revisit in ps and duplicate the image to adjust the highlights in the sky then merge the two back together and you would have an inage with slightly less harsh light differences (sky and shadow clash)
Just a thought, as its what I would do...

  • Salcombe Cliffs, Sidmouth, Devon

They had a landslip there a few weeks back. Or was it further on at Charmouth...?
    Nice scale.
