This is a good capture; amazing clouds really tell your story.

you could, since there so much cloud, crop to a 16 x 9 format as Ive done?

I slightly brightened the land portion, as its likely the sky pushed overall exposure down.

See what you think. Its sharpened a little too.

Thank you Willie,

I like the image in 16X9 format and I believe you are right on brightning the land.

I like much your mod.

The human eye is very versatile, and sees far more than a camera - because of the way it adapts, and the brain melds sucessive views.

Editing - as Willie has done - gets the picture back to how you perceived the scene, which is very often precisely what you want...

Thank you John,

Indeed the mod made by Willie reflect exactly the feeling I got when I perceived the landscape in real life.

I took the RAW file again and made mods as per Willie recommandations and they are better than the one I published.

Iím really happy that with every photo I publish there is always something to learn.

This is a classic case of having to do some processing on the original capture to get the best out of what you've captured so that it looks more closely how you saw it.
Two different exposures, use of a graduated filter or lots of processing from your RAW flie (two conversions blended or treating sky and land differently using the Graduated Filter or Adjustment Brush in Lightroom for example).
My mod is similar to Willie's but with a bit more contrast and toinal separaion in the far distance.

Worth working on as it's a great stormy sky.

Thank you Keith,

Your mod is great, I have to consider in the future the graduation of exposure, in your mod it worked very well
