Moody days - REPOSTED

Good shot, but would suggest cropping the foreground as the groine tends to cut the pic in half

You've done well with what was in front of you. Cropping would help and maybe trying to take the picture portrait format. I may have been tempted to get in a bit closer and see if I could make any patterns from the wood or it's shadows. Not sure what the weather was like but you have the right idea to see if the picture looks good in Black and White.

Luara beautiful image and it lookks great in b&w! like the footsteps in the sand which gives it a nice feel!

this is a superb representation of summertime on the beach in England from what i remember when i was there last, great composition with a dead straight horizon (you'd be surprised how many people have wonky horizons) and just love the colour cast here, well taken.

p.s i would crop still further some of the beach at the bottom, just above the seaweed mark Wink

I do like this shot. Ordinarily, a grey day like this makes for a poor picture but somehow you captured that moody atmosphere that your title suggests. Very nice. -=Walter
