Waterfall 2

By LauraD
Took this on a very cold weekend a few weeks ago. Loved how this waterfall looked and wanted to capture the water but the detail behind it too. Comments appreciated!!!

Nice capture.

Hello Laura, I've got a Nikon D50 which you can now buy for around 450 which is classed as the entry level for a digital SLR, I'm very happy with mine.

its a well composed shot but I like to see the water movement in these kind of shots.

try long exposeser shot MarkT as some good examples.

well done on a good shot.

iajacks are on the right track but if you do that you will need a tripod and to get the detail in the back you will have to play with position (height) of the camera and the time of the day.
If your camera has a time priority (Tv) setting use that to change the shutter speed to stay open longer and the camera will automatically set the aperture to the correct value. Read in your camera booklet how to do this and what to look out for.
There are limitations to these settings depending on the camera but more on the lens.
Hope I shed some light on it if not read as much as jou can on long exposures Smile
Good luck!
