Thanks for all the comments and likes.

Fatfranksfolley - the title was relating to Noir as in the colour black as there is very little colour in the shot except a hint of peach in her skin and a pale blue in her eyes.

Lovely model. Great you've found a muse!

Like your processing on this too.

How gorgeous is that gold wall!?! Love it. Great set design.

I can't help feeling that the model looks a little uncomfortable though in that contorted pose.

Thank you guys. Can't believe I got my first 'Highly Commended' shot. Its one of my favourite shots I've taken in a long while so I'm pleased everyone else likes it too!

I prefer the one with the eye contact. Lovely model.

Really lovely processing. Styling is great too. I can't help thinking the models neck looks uncomfortable in the bottom shot though, maybe its not so in a larger version.

This is awesome, can't believe no-one has commented and the votes are so low?!

The styling is amazing, that dress is so striking. Great location & great lighting too. There is a lot of hard work gone into this, well done.

Love the effect on these. The model has a great look and its styled really well. My only slightly negative feedback would be that they are very similar shots to submit together. I'd say facially the left shot is better so I'd be tempted to crop right in on her beautiful face, make them look a bit different to each other. Good luck with the submission. Which mag is it for by the way? I'll look out for it

Thank you for your comment. Having another look at the shot I agree with your suggestion for loosing the hem. Its a funny old place ephotozine, sometimes the shots you don't expect to get attention rocket and the ones you do go unnoticed.

Thanks again for your feedback, really appreciated

Really like this! Is the model leaning against a wall or lying on a floor? I love how the skirt is so long.

Great shot, shame her hair is covering her face quite a bit tho

I actually really like the sky in the background, i think it helps add to the atmosphere of the shot. i like the position of her legs and arms but think her face it too 'straight' on to the camera. maybe just a bit more tilted to the side. she does look a little unhappy in the shot, this may have worked well if she was actually looking out of shot? anyway thats my input - fab lighting, really caught my eye in the gallery.

I just wrote out a big long comment and lost it...urgh i hate when that happens!

The short version is - i love your shot!

Small criticism though - i think it needs straightening up. I know with the 24-105mm lens on the 5D you get slight wide angle contours which can throw the straight lines into curves but i do think its out and needs straightened.

great shot, my only criticism would be that the leg behind draws my eye too much (because its only partially lit) not sure how easy it would to photoshop this out.

great photos, the model is stunning.

have you tried flipping the shot on the right and then making that one on the left side - so they lean in together? - not sure if that makes sense?? i know what i mean!! could work or might look strange. i do think them presented this way though.

fab shot, personally tho i would have brought out the horizon line and detail or got rid of it all together, it doesnt stand out much so for me its doing nothing for the shot. it might just be my screen, just my opinion.
