yeah, it was hand held - I'd forgotted the peice that attaches the camera to the tripod and all the surrounding rocks looked pretty dodge to balance a camera on!! Thanks for the mod - the brightness lifts the image a bit more.

Not sure what happened the upload size - sorry it's small, my computer had to decided to play games on me!

Really like this, it's different - catches attention.

It was indeed handheld - I couldn't figure out why all my swans weren't sharp, thanks guys!! And I like the modification, definitely improves it a lot.

I like the atmosphere and tones in this - portrays a good rustic feel. You did well to get this hand held. It is a pity you didn't have a tripod - you could have used a lower ISO, smaller aperture and longer speed which may have reduced the glare you got off the candles. I tend to attempt to improvise if I don't have access to a tripod - a chair, table, books - anything near by in combination with 2s self-timer usually does the trick!

Thanks- I normally do try to take at their eye level - this was more a "point and shoot" moment, but the angle certainly does lose a lot of their perspective.

I struggle to get the light right with this pair - one's so dark, the other's so light that I lose the detail on either coat with most conditions. Do you have any suggestions?

thanks, just played with it a bit more, and it does lift the colour a lot! You would think I'd do these things BEFORE I upload...
