Our Creation

By leedsgh
Emma, my wife, asked if I could photograph our son yesterday so that she can have a new picture of him on her desk at work.

When I showed her this, her initial reaction was; Wow, hes beautiful, isnt he?

Closely followed by; But you could have brushed his hair!

With him being my son, Im bound to be biased, but on this occasion, Im of the opinion of:

Sometimes its impossible to improve on perfection.

I like the tones and crop here Gav. The eyes look a little soft. Did you use a gaussian blur layer to soften it? If so, you might want to keep the eye's sharp.

Good looking lad. Does he take after his Mum then ;o)

Overall a well clickable photo -Rab

Could you look in the back of your D70 manual and see if it says anything about compatability with the speedlight SB-80DX. If you would it would be most helpful dude.

Ive got the manual open in front of me now.

I have a SB-800, which works great with the camera.

The manual states: and I quote:

' the D70 is equipped with an accessory shoe that allows SB series Speedlights, including the SB-800, 600, 80DX, 28DX, 28, 27, 23, 22s, and 29S to be mounted directly onto the camera without the aid of a sync cable.'

Looks like you're hot to go my friend.

PS no blurs involved on this one. this is straight from the D70, channel mixed in monochrome.
