Lovely, Gra. On my next free weekend with good light, I must get over there. The lighting here is particularly good.

There seems to be a hairline across the bottom left corner of the tail feathers. If you weren't shooting digital I might have suggested a scratch on the negative! However, that's clearly not so. Perhaps there really was a hair there - your lens is sharp enough to pick it out if so. I'd definitely spend a minute to clone it out.

That's just super Gra! Being extreeeemely picky, I don't see any reason for including as much of the twig as you have - it's getting more OOF the further down the pic you go. If it was bang in focus I'd say fine - as it is I'd crop a bit more off. Other than that - wow :^) !

Thanks for the encouraging comments...

Deemac - it's actually a spiders web or something on the twig. It's a lot clearer on the original. I will clone it out. Didn't think it was that noticeable unitl you're mentioned it. Sticks out like a sore thumb now!

John_Lee - I see what you're saying and yes, it did bother me and I then thought it didn't matter at this size of image, but yes, it is distracting. cheers

Carterart - no it was AF. The beauty of the kit is the autofocus at 1000mm. One of the reasons I bought it....

Had a clear out Graeme, shame as I often popped in for a browse.

Normally end up staring at this one for most of the time, love it.

Cheers Tony. Surpised you like this... I reckon it's one of my weaker images...funny how different people see images diferently!!
Yeah deleted them and I'm a bit disillusioned with this site at the moment... I'm sure I'll forget why I'm miffed soon and start uploading more regularly... still pop in from time to time. Cheers

I'm with Tony - disappointed to see the images disappear as I also often pop in for a browse too, just to see where I've been going wrong and to get a few tips for how on earth I can wangle an EC :^) (too late for that now, methinks). I really don't think this is a weak image although think you have posted even better ones, but can't say which 'cos they're not here any more :^( .
