We've seen a few images of these beautiful little birds of late, but with examples like this how could we possibly get bored with them, Lovely capture

I too had a play around with a bit of flash photography the other day, but I couldn't get the results I liked, just didn't look right to me...

Although I did find the use of a diffuser gets rid of the glazed eye look you often get when using a flash on birds.

Lovely work Graeme and congrats on the HC.

Hello Graeme,

Another good shot of yours here. The flash looks a little harsh but still a fine image.

I did use a diffuser Tony..I'm just crap :o)

Flash does give it a harsh look. The light was terrible and instead of fill flash, I used flash to light the subject...full blown flash...I should imagine he';s still reeling from it :o) Only joking. No cruely was involved!!

The yellow of the breast and the yellow of the lichen produce a beautifully balanced photograph.
