Thanks for looking at my often mediocre efforts. I just hope that, over time, my pictures do get better. Wink

  • The Austin

Quote:Great view. Still starts by handle ?

Can be started by handle, although its owner actually started it with a normal starter motor.

  • Fountains Abbey

Some lovely natural and subtle colours in there.

  • Eilean Donan Castle

A nice and different view of this much photographed castle.

  • Old Thatch Teashop

That village really must be a photographer's dream. Love the teapot and cup on the roof and, in yesterday's image, the mice on the roof. Smile

Beautifully maintained properties superbly captured by you in both images.

Quote:A beautiful calming capture with wonderful crystal clear reflections. I might have been tempted to use a polarizing filter in order to bring out the detail and colour in the sky "That's of course you have one"

Although I do have polarizing filters for my DSLR lenses, I don't for the little Fuji and, without TTL viewing, it might be trickier to use one.

  • Old and new

I have an image of Chandler's Lane taken the other way round, i.e. from City Quay to the Tay. Chandlers Lane

It isn't as good an image as yours and was taken into the sun, but I think the "old & new" style of buildings is more evident from the other end with the contrast between the white brick on the left and the curve with the old stone on the right. The white brick, as you'll know, only extends part way down the lane. Just a thought. Smile
