One time Flax mill and later Jute mill in Dundee. The foundations for future flats!

9 January 2013: The Courier [local newspaper] reports funding of 7million has been approved for 75 flats at the former works with plans for borrowing a further 2.5m for an extra 24 flats. The properties are intended for mid-market rent for up to 10 years after which they would be sold to either sitting tenants, a housing association or the open market.

25 June 2013: Full Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the restoration and conversion of the former mill into 24 flats with demolition of 2 structures, were conditionally approved Oct/ Nov 2012

It is so very sad when many great buildings such as this fall into disrepair and then into the hands of developers and property tycoons.
