They are racks that hold and raise the targets on the MOD live firing ranges at Barry Buddon.
V2 shows all ten racks.
V3 is the other side from where the soldiers fire at the targets. The mound at the back stops bullets from going out into the mouth of the river Tay.
When the red warning flags and lights aren't displayed, the public can walk over the shooting ranges and it is a great place for dog walks. It is also where the shooting events of the 2014 Commonwealth will be held.
