How much symbolism can one image take?
and yes...it's a Gannet.....or it was.
Very Darwinist, and so very well composed and photographed. The placement of the candle providing a wonderful warming glow to the brass scales and it contents.
Impressive work Keith. Beautifully captured and processed image. A feast for the eyes and the mind.
Cheers Guys and to Rob for GEA.
Probably destined to be a favourite of mine
One of your best to date imho....all the right elements, lighting and placement....etc
Have my little award
P.S There is one thing missing
Yes, I know and I do have an old toad to put in there.
Thanks for very rare Old Witch User Award, though.
Like the set up and good details Keith.
Nice lighting too
My fave so far...
Beautifully lit and processed with plenty to ponder and peruse.
So, which came first? egg or chicken?
Thanks guys - mine too, Chris
Like this Mr H - a life and death situation- favouring death by the look of those scales.
A stunning still life with beautiful light.
I think you maybe right, Bri
Very cleverly thought out, great lighting and beautifully presented
So much depth and meaning to this Keith, I think Bri has nailed the meaning, but at least the lights still on.
I'm not sure about some of the jet black backdrops on some of these tho, for me. its too harsh a contrast for the f//g/ But I guesss the light / dark contrast is part og the message (tho if you had the same fall off as on the rhs that would work).
It's just a classic black background but what it does is concentrate the attention on the composition and subject.
Good lighting, good Componentsí good story ( title) and a cracking good picture, well done Keith
Thanks guys and an extra thanks for the new User Awards
Carefully setup and straining at the sides with symbolism !!
Thanks to Pete for E...oh no...HC
Stunning work - many congratulations on its wards
A wonderful creation and beautifully photographed.
Superb lighting, tones, colours and detail, and beautifully composed too!
I love the title and the shot's not too bad either. Nice one.
Impressive capture and processing.
