Derwent Draw

By sut68
Taken about 15 minutes after my previous jetty upload and a long exposure of 250 seconds at f/14 on the landing stage at Brandlehow, Derwentwater. The direction of the cloud movement provided a lovely draw into the shot ... to be hyper-critical, it would have been perfect had the clouds converged on the very end of the jetty, but on this occasion it's close enough ... maybe next time Smile

Classic PoV but your image is elevated to a classic itself through the long exposure streaking the clouds, enhancing the colour and simplifying the comp. Just brilliant Smile

My type of image, just love it to bits, a great, in fact superb long exposure, the cloud issue does not bother me but I know what you mean. Perfectly captured. Print it a large as you can and hang it on a wall! Phil SmileSmile

Good work, though disagree with your cloud comment. The jetty might have merged into the clouds if that had happened and that would just have looked....well.....odd.

Cheers Paul, though I think we'll just have to agree to differ Wink

The clouds converging at the end of the jetty would, for me, just put that finishing gloss of symmetry on the shot. That's what irks me a little on this one, but gives me more reason to go back again another time Wink
