Brilliant capture and I'm extremely jealous. I went to my local hide this afternoon and was fortunate enough to see and photograph one with the Canon equivalent of your lens. Unfortunately it was so far away that even with a 2xTC on a 1.6 crop sensor it was tiny in the frame. Given that it was 960mm I'm pleased and amazed it's recognisable but this image is the kind of shot I aspire to. Thanks for the inspiration, Dean

A fantastic close up of this beautiful and brightly coloured little bird, the details and colours in the plumage are sublime. You sound in a cheerful mood, it can't be that bad surely, Tomcat hasn't visited Dorset yet!Tongue
