I wish I had tried a bass balalaika when I had the opportunity in Leningrad. But it would not have fitted in my hand luggage

A great street photo of these musicians and spectator.
I first saw one of these Balalaika orchestras while visiting [link=42.106.193.2]Barentsburg[/link], on Svalbard/Spitzbergen. A Russian mining community, complete with a huuuge concert hall - or Hall of Culture - they gave a free concert for the visitors.
