The focus is all on the 'light' area on the left, Les - the performer, the windows, the keyboard. Didn't notice the 'tightness' at all until you mentioned it. A classy image.

Very classy Les .... if the piano was not pushed out to the side and on the edge I think it would compete with the model for attention so, for me this is perfect!

Cant understand why you kept it hidden Les. If your concerned about the piano how about a squarish crop - with the top diagonal of the piano lid forming the junction of the crop - then it looks delibrate & dynamic. Yes you will loose the mirror - but thats pulling the eyes away from the model.
