Great shot Leslie. What were the conditions like farther down the mountain, gonna go over the next few days.

Sean.
Sean the conditions on the trassey track was very slippery but the scramble up to the hares gap was very dangerous. Met a large group and one of the party had slipped and broken his leg. Mountain rescue was on the way so I carefully continued my assent to Bernagh.
Would recommend parking at the Ott/ Blue quarry car park .It is easy to get to,not very dangerous and good views of lough shannagh are possible from the mountain of the same name.
Hope this helps,

Leslie

Thanks for the heads up on that Leslie - hoping for a Sunday outing but unfortunately it takes very little to put me off these days.
