Sebastian's Watch I

By LexEquine
This is another image of 'my keepsake,' Great-Grandfather, Sebastian's sterling silver railroad pocket watch, circa 1860's (posted Aug9,2010). Here, we have an inside view of the vintage 10-jewel Italian cylinder mechanical movement. 'Sebastian' & my paternal grandfather, 'Peter Sr.,' were both born in the medieval town of Lucca, Italy, in Tuscany. Hope that you like my digital photograph.

Thanks, for my 'early commentators.' This is my 2nd image posted (Seashell, was the first), with 'my new shooter,' the Pentax K100D with SMC Pentax DA 18-55 mm f3.5-5.6 AL II (upgrade lens). I guess, nobody has 'discerned,' that these images are not with my most trustworthy Canon Pro 1. I 'garnered this beautiful 'camera kit,' from a professional photography from Missouri, on Ebay. You know, was just one of those 'Lucky things.' I really got a fantastic deal & price. But, it is really tough bidding, there on Ebay. I am hoping that this DSLR will deliver me some very fond memories in 'this New Decade.' Now,...everybody knows I'm 'shootin' with the Pentax.'
Ciao...Peter Smile

A lot of potential in this lovely old watch ... very photogenic. That said I don't think that this shot makes the most of that potential. Play around with different compositions and maybe even try a texture overlay to get a bit more visual impact.

Hi Doc, I posted 'color & sepia' images of the fine porcelain dial & sterling silver rim, with my Canon Pro 1, on August 9, 2010. I will plan to post further images with my 'new Pentax K100D & 18-55 mm lens.' Thanks, for your comment, Tony
