Let There Be Flight.

By lifesnapper
Hi all and many thanks indeed for your great comments, votes and very amusing mod's on my silly Sunday image, very much appreciated.Smile

Today, the first in a series of converted mono images from Farnborough Airshows over the years. I was lucky enough to get in free on one of the business days during the week as I had worked in aerospace for most of my working life when the company started to visit and exhibit at the show.
Hope you enjoy this set and the others to come.

All the best to all,

JohnSmile

Oh these are great John

Even sticking to your trademark theme with the last photo

The lead is fantastic!

I thought I might want to visit an air show with the camera ...

Now I know I definitely do!

Looking forward to more sets like this

Thorough reportage and some excellent details throughout. V19 has a far-away expression . . .
V3 and V5 happen to be my favourites, though, along with the opener.

Excellent set John 😊

Why is V2 in Camo is it so the planes don't get spooked and fly away 😁😁😁

v10 is my composition of the set. v12? - glad to see they are camouflaged from spotter aircraft but maybe not FLIR!

Glorious images - love the aero engines. My dad worked at a Rolls Royce aero engine test facility; we used to have some wonderful air displays until RR went bust in '71 and the pushing back of crowd lines put paid to economically viable events. Thanks for the memories! 😀 👍 🏆
The lead is a cracking shot! 😀

Fascinating to hear you were in the aerospace industry John ...have always thought of you as a pretty far out guy mate ! Very hard to pick a fave ...but v16 is at the top for the wrapt attention those guys are paying to the birds in the air and possibly on the ground ...in stewardess attire . Fantastic clarity and light in that version.
Best regards
Walt
