Setting The Timer.

By lifesnapper
Hi all and many thanks for yur much appreciated votes and comments on my 'Welcome To Kamari' images, very much appreciated indeed Smile
Today's image...
I was walking behind a few tourist's in Oia when I spotted this shot. The young lady was setting the timer on her mobile camera while her man waited for her to run back to him for the picture of them both together with a lovely view of Oia behind them. Now usually, I'm the normal polite Englishman under most circumstances, but not when it comes to getting a picture. As soon as I spotted the shot I pushed my way through everyone, composed the shot in a second and clicked. As soon as I did so, she ran back to her man and turned towards the mobile camera only to have her hat blow off of her head in the wind and the camera went off just as her hands went up to catch it Smile I wish I'd got that shot Grin but hey! at least I got what I was hoping for Wink

My very best to all and I hope you're having a good week.

Rather a clever shot, John, with its harmonious colours and general verticality.
One wonders where her hat was when the self-timer fired!

Such a strong shape in the frame and colours.... the 'hat off' may raise a few more smiles but this is pretty good itself, John.
Very effective composition. Lovely complimentary colours, good focus and depth. GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Really very beautiful. I go with the main upload, the band of bright road is a dividing line, it puts her in her own private world with us at a respectful distance.

A superb shot! You did great job.. I couldn't see well, I thought she was cleaning the window..Grin, but the real life is more amusing... Love the blue color, prefer the original, it gives a bit space.
