Double take-off

By Lillian
A pair of Flamingo's flying past to another nearby lake

By the time I took this one was getting towards end of of time in France
thankfully! as my back had gone to ''pots'' from carrying my backpack of lens
and the don't do either, and won't bother taking tripod to Venice or France next time
so now everything I do is hand heldGrin
Think Lynne will enjoy this one...dreaded two!Wink

Have a great day..I am out and again trying to finish off book from Swedish trip

A wonderful in flight capture Lillian.. Totally agree with you, I carried a camera around for 6 weeks in Australia and used it once, as you say the backpack is heavy enough.
Stunning, Lillian. Brilliant timing and great detail.

I know the feeling about carrying loads of un-necessary gear around on holiday Sad But since I got my new Nikon with it's 18-105mm, I find it covers most situations - in fact, I've never had it off the camera since I bought it! Wink Great capture, Lillian, of these two flamingoes flying in synchronisation Smile

A fabulous inflight capture Lillian, these birds looks so graceful. If you don't want to hump a backpack around you could always get a trolley which is what Ade Osmant uses. I'm sure you'd be able to pick up a golf or fishing trolley from somewhere like Go Outdoors, Aldi or Lidl at a reasonable price. You'd be able to strap your backpack to that to save you lugging it about and straining your shoulders and backSmile

I struggle to get one bird flying - you've made it look easy!!!
