WCML Steam Charter

This shot is inspired by the celebrated railway artist Terence Cuneo, and for those of you who are familiar with his work, be assured that his 'mouse' trade mark cannot be found on this image.
What a joy however seeing one of these locos working as they should, approx 60mph hauling 8 coaches over Attenborough Jn on a steam special to Lincoln on Saturday last.
The driver was certainly pushing it to the limit with huge belches of black smoke from its chimney, just prior to this image being taken.

A beautiful shot. Reminds me of pictures I used to see in 'Mecanno Magazine' many years ago.

Everything about the shot is right. You'd think the train driver positioned the loco just for you... lol.
