Cat Tails

These are Cat tails at least I think there called that, I am sure they have another name. I thought the texture of these flowers with the blue sky in the back made for interesting photo. Had to lie below the plant on a hill to get fill the whole background with the sky.

Taken at Spring Lake in Sonoma county in California.

I can relate to this kind of photo. It looks good. Simple and well composed. I have always wanted to know what those "thistles" were called. I think another name might be "Teasel"....more research required I think...!
