Everlasting daisy

By littleflea
Native to Australia - Xerochrysum ‘Wallaby Yellow’ – Everlasting Daisy. The silky, papery flowers can last for years when dried. I came across this one while walking through neck high grass at The Pinnacle (always carrying a large stick to make a lot of noise due to Eastern Brown Snake which are aggressive and venomous). I could actually be doing the wrong thing and making them more angry - must check that out !! But I spotted a clump of yellow and I was too curious. I think there's a saying in there somewhere :o)))

A gorgeous find Sandra.
Was that the Pinnacles in Perth to which you referred.
I've been there but nobody mentioned snakes!

Hi Kate, no not Perth .. I'm on the opposite side of Australia in Canberra 😊 I live in a suburb called Weetangera on the edge of a hill called The Pinnacle. Its fabulous for bush walks and most of the time I see kangaroos.
