Hello, Paul, and welcome to EPZ. Seal images have a lot of appeal, and you have captured this one with a wonderfully curious expression, good eye contact and a rich warm colour to the coat. I like the stance with the tail being flipped upwards and the muted grass area in the background, indicating good control of depth-of-field. Unfortunately, the water is overexposed, as are small areas of the fur, due to strong overhead light. In a situation like this, where you had no option to choose the time of day for shooting, you could use Exposure Compensation and/or a polarizing filter, because water does tend to reflect the light. In my modification, I lightened the image, and adjusted highlights, shadows and levels, then used the burn tool on bits at the top of the head. I selected the water only, darkened it and added a blue hue. My second mod has had some slight sharpening applied.
