I went up on Collard Hill yesterday afternoon, despite the poor weather forecast. Dodging between the showers, there was some butterfly activity as well as Bee and Wasp Orchids. This poor fellow was sheltering from the wind in long grass when I found him. I think this is a Brown Argos but the upper sides of the wings were not revealed (too cold), although there were no white marks on the tips of the antennae. It was much smaller than a Common Blue.
