Mist Levels

By livinglevels
Dusk yesterday evening in very cold still conditions over the Somerset Levels taken from Walton Hill on the Polden Ridge.

I used a 100-400 to foreshorten the image in conjunction with hard ND grads to balance the sky and land (taking the inspiration from some of David Noton's work).

Not sure whether the reflection of the sky in the water in some of the drainage ditches on the left, distracts but really liked the way the cloud bank on the horizon mirrored the lines of trees, mist and low hills giving a layered effect.
