Small Heath before the rain

By livinglevels
Although the weather has gone, there were still quite a few butterflies out this morning, once the mist had cleared.

This Small Heath (Coenonympha pamphilus) was sunning itself, out of the wind, on the lower slopes of Collard Hill near Glastonbury and for once allowed me to get some close shots.

A cracking close up of this small and often overlooked butterfly, you've caught this one in some wonderful light
Excellent shot - the lighting makes it!
