365 Day 266 - Ready to talk

8 Feb 2013 5:53AM   Views : 506 Unique : 426

I did a talk to Harlow Camera Club tonight, an hour and half of talking and showing my pictures, which seemed to go down pretty well.
Anyway - here is my gear all set up and ready for the off:

Gone are the days of turning up with a projector, a few carousels filled with slides, some of which could " burn " in the glass mount !

Ah Harlow, I remember visiting a photographic print exhibition there many years ago in the Library Wink
Would be great if something like that could be done again but probably take up too much time & effort Sad

Wish I lived nearer to Harlow. I've heard they're a good club.
What do you give your talks on Chris?

Hi Jeff,

yeah there is a lot to be said for powerpoint - at least I could look at the audience & know what picture I was talking about without having to look over my shoulder.
Yes - the legendary Epz exhibition was there, I did all the framing. It was a lot of work.

Hi Chris,

yeah its a pretty good club I like the atmosphere. There are a fair few competitions but we don't take it that seriously.
It was a talk on "looking Local" - lots of shots of Loughton & Epping Forest. I will be doing it again for Chingford Camera Club next month: http://www.chingfordphotographic.com/Programme.htm
