I thought I would try out some of the stuff I learnt at the weekend by having a play with flash. I've got myself a second strobe (a 580ex II) now so it enabled me to do a bit of off camera stuff.

Heavy snow all day yesterday meant getting to work would be an epic, so I opted to work from home instead. As the day went on the snow slowly thawed, so that it was possible to nip up to the forest quickly for sunset:

The area around the Barbican has many "HighWalks" - a remnant of 70s town planning when we were all to live in a multi-level city. As buildings are redeveloped some of these walkways turn in to hardly used dead ends. Some poor homeless person has taken advantage of this to create a bed...
So today was a presentation skills course at work. It was a bit intense as we started off doing a presentation which was filmed then played back to you and critiqued. We then spent the rest of the day learning techniques and preparing to do it again at the end of the course. All useful stuff co...
