Last Chance

By lobsterboy
So, standing by the side of Windermere, this was the last shot I took before accidentally knocking the tripod over.
My 5D mk II crashed in to the waters of the lake and refused to work either due to a sever ingestion of water or due to hitting rocks under water.

The camera is currently locked in a tupperware box with some drying balls, I'm hoping that it might recover from it's bath but the jury is still out.

As for the pic: comments, critiques and modifications are always welcome

I hope this is not an obituary.

Drying balls sound like fun.

At least you managed an image before accidentally knocking the camera over. Glad to hear it was an accident and not a deliberate ploy.Wink

Chris, that's a tragedy. I remember reading a story in an American Photo mag where this fellow dropped his Nikon point and shhot in the water; remember the one that you could twist the 2 parts? He had a 2 day drive ahead of him to Las Vegas, so he tied the camera to the wiper blade of his car for drying. When he got to his destination the camera was dry, obviously, but the pictures he got from it thereafter were of unusual colours, very unique. He ended up publishing a book of photos taken with the camera that turned out to be quite popular. There's always hope.Smile
