This one is from the second night of the light display we witnessed during our Iceland trip last month.
The famous Jökulsárlón Lagoon. By this time the wind had dispensed with the 'Magic Cloth' and it was a Magic Mitten with a Little Hottie Handwarmer!

Thank you again to all who voted and commented on Gravy. M

Hi Dave

Shot with the lens wide open at 2.8, on bulb mode with 20 secs for the sky and 1min 10 for the fG with the magic cloth adapted technique.
The light intensity was forever changing and lots of on the spot experimentation.

One of the problems with this location is that the ice fragments are constantly moving as they flow out of the lagoon, come of which is evident here.

Once seen, you will want to see them again. It could add up to being an expensive pursuit. I'm addicted.
Already thinking on a trip for next winter and before if poss.

"It's not easy being green."

But with skill and Magic Cloth, a genius of light can find something very special to view.

"Creme de Menthe," ah yes, I can taste it now, a better title, for it combines both the taste of life and the magnificent scene you have found.

Your skill keeps getting better, soon you will only surpass yourself, as few achieve what you are doing.

Best regards,

This is a most spectacular display and you have photographed it beautifully. One of the best Aurorer photographs I've seen for a long while. Congratulations on your well deserved awards.

Absolutely jaw dropping. I have to go. This is inspirational

You must be well chuffed.
