That's a real winter image, a cold watery sky and just the hints of warm colour in the plumage.

How lucky are you capturing two different birds on you walk with Patch.
I've to go to Bird Sanctuary to find anything different from garden birds.

Don't think he/she's enjoying the present weather either!! Very ruffled and wind-blown but makes for lots of interesting plumage details. Well seen and captured.
