If she didn't have those boots on she could be Tarzans wife. Sorry, my first thought. Great image John. Love her expression. Leery but bold.

Nice one, John! I like the jungle looking setting, with the black navvy boots!
The nymph wore Doc's

The camera that made boys into men and sometimes men into boys.
Everything on the wrong side, unless you were left handed.

Leica made the film change award by needing the baseplate to be removed

Then there was the Peiflex with a tiny periscope that was pushed down into the body so you could see what you were taking, it then popped up to take the photograph.
and many etc's. You may have some of them John I'm sure.

Dougie, I am lefthanded... So an Exakta makes perfect sense.

I have a Leica, but not a Periflex: I've seen and handled one, but it struck me as being near-unusable because of the long sequence of things you had to do to take a picture. I like cameras that are fun to use...

Known in Scotland as "Corrie Duked" John, not meant as a put down, I thank the Gods of Cameras that you didn't take a career up in camera building.

My career might have been along a different path. I used a Hasselblad for sometime in newspapers an excellent camera but it was never designed for the cut and thrust of newspapers. When you hit the sweet spot you were king of the hill, the lenses were that good.

When ordered to use the Hass on news assignments, you learn to use your elbows.
Alls fair in love and photography.

Like the subtlety of this one. Tried a mod using Silver Efex Pro to increase the contrast but lost a lot of detail in the shoulders and torso. So decided best left alone.

My view of the classic 'Blad is that it's fine if you have three hands...

But I love them.
